BUSY....

Holy moly its been busy around our house! Its been a bit (couple weeks I think) since I have update the ole` blog!
Since I last updated... Chiara has started rolling over! She smiles so much more, she laughs, she plays, and boy does cameron love her! He runs to me on a daily basis and says “she smiled at me” and “she smiled at me again mom”. He's so funny. At any time in the day I can turn my head to find him laying next to her on the floor and playing with her, or giving her a kiss, or really anything he can think of that she can be a part of.

Anyhow, this has been a busy month. Both the kids were sick, Cameron still is. I had to take him back to the doctor and (another loving moment between precious siblings) I left Chiara with a friend so I didn't have to keep her content while dealing with ill little Cameron. Turns out, I would have been better off taking her with me. Cameron freaked out when he realized Chiara was not with us and wanted to go get her. He screamed the whole time. :/ YIKES! so .... on top of sick babies.... there is me who is having terrible allergy problems. In and out of the doc thinking I am sick.... NOT AT ALL. What the crap right?!
Even busier, We have been shopping for the kids winter apparel, “some” christmas gifts, planning out thanksgiving, trips to the library, cleaning and all of my daily motherly, wifely chores! Its been hectic and I almost cant wait for the holidays to go. Though it has been so busy, I cant imagine it any other way! It has been super exciting being the mother to two children and watching them grow and bond together. I cant wait to experience our first holiday season as a family of four!

The Hardest Thing to DO :(

What is the ULTIMATE HARDEST THING YOU’VE EVER HAD TO DO?
Well let me tell you the hardest thing I’ve had to do. Aside from having a baby without med’s; Saying goodbye to family is the hardest thing I’ve ever done and done it a FEW times.
Recently the only person I had in Oregon; my beautiful AUNT CHRISTA, moved away from the lives of Cameron, Chiara, and I. She was my only go to person when I was in a time of need and always there for me. She was also so loving to my children, Cameron in particular because she only knew Chiara for such little time. To the kids she was DAM and DAMN proud of it.

I love her and miss her already and that is one of the hardest things I have had to do in a while. I HATE goodbye's. Hopefully soon we will see her as well as the rest of our amazing family for a vacation and some good times full of memories that will last us a lifetime!!!!

A Bit of a Rough Patch

I recently decided to start reading up on some of the blogs I follow and the thought that I should update mine ran through my head.

I’ll be honest, we are going through a tough time my two kiddo’s and I. Both of my children have croup; from this croup they have developed what is called “fifths disease” also known as “virus syndrome or slapped-cheek syndrome”. They both have the brightest rosiest red cheeks ever and I feel bad for them. BUT..... They just look so darned CUTE! Because they are both sick and don’t feel well they are irritable and crying a lot. That makes for doing homework “a not doing homework situation” and a HUGE headache! Aside from this minor flaw in the past week they are otherwise healthy and growing rapidly.

Little Chiara will be 4 months old coming up here on the 11th of the month and it shows. My precious angel baby is a whopping 14.5 pounds and is such a little chunker butt! In just a few more months Cameron Manzone aka MONSTER MAN will be 3. I cannot believe how fast the time has flown past me its seems that I have missed the last year. I am so sad that in just so little time my babies will not be babies any longer. What Can You Do?!?! It's the life of MOTHERHOOD!
I guess this is all I have to say about this for now!

The Kind of MOTHER I am....

I have found out a few new things about myself and the way  I parent after having Chiara. I have NO tolerance for whiny bratty little boys. lol! Don’t get me wrong, I love my son but it seems since we had brought Chiara home from the hospital, Cameron took on a whole new attitude. He acts as though he lost everything he ever had in his short little life thus far.
JUST A LITTLE ATTITUDE
I’ll be honest I was more tired in the beginning than before I  had her but ALWAYS tried my best to never let myself take it out on him. He is deprived of nothing more than he was before his sister arrived. He actually gets away with much more than he did before because I have less time to fight with him! :D

I am not against the butt spanking, time outs, or just putting him in his room for a bit. NOW MORE THAN EVER!  He still is just as spoiled (guaranteed part of the bad behavior problem) and I love him more. Seeing him grow into being such a good big brother couldn’t make me any happier!

Though I hate temper tantrums, whining for no reason, smart remarks, his growing knowledge of sarcasm (at 2... kind of a shock to me), pointing his little fingers at me; I love him more because even through all the bad times we come out on top and it grows with his personality and who he is! I love everything they do (after the fact of course) and can’t wait to live and deal with what’s to come!

A Princess Was Born July 11, 2011

A seeming pointless visit to the hospital that was thought to be false labor turned into one of the most exciting nights of our little growing family’s life. Chiara Lynn Manzone was born. There she was after a very short labor of 13 minutes; 6 lb. 13 oz. 21 inches long. She was healthy and the most beautiful baby girl I have ever seen!
A little late to update... I KNOW! She is 2 months old today! So far she has been a blessing, she sleeps almost through the night, eats all the time, and is healthy as can be. I don’t think I could ask for much more!
As filled with change as life has been for us all, Cameron has taken to the adjustment quite well! He loves Chiara more than I had anticipated and I honestly thought I would have issue between the two of them for a while! He is helpful and happy (SUCH AN AMAZING BIG BROTHER)!
Onto new topics!!!!!

I guess it's been a while!

Because it has been so long... for those of you who do not know, we are expecting our second child. We found out a little more than a month ago that we will be having a daughter!!! She has no name yet due to the fact that I like to see them and judge their personality before i give them a name! She is due July 23, 2011. As of now i am 31 weeks along. IT WON’T BE LONG TILL WE ARE A FAMILY OF FOUR.
Because as most of us are hoping, summer should be here any time! Hopefully sooner than later! Peter and I Have been VERY busy with Cameron at the park getting as much playing in as possible during the good weather! There are so many parks to play at here in eugene and springfield and our favorite is Alton Baker Park. Cameron loves to feed the ducks there, they have geese to (they seem to intimidate him and they chase him and bite because they are almost the same size) both ducks and geese try to steal the bread before you throw it!
We love playing and having a good time. We cannot wait for our little girl to arrive . There are so many plus's to being a parent and a family and I am thrilled to have what I have.

I always say to myself that I am going to update my blog and never end up doing so. From now on, I will make a conscious effort to keep you all posted !
